1. Acceptance

By accessing Zentrovia Academic Press ("the Platform") you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that institution to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility & Access

Access to the Platform is granted on a subscription basis to authorised users affiliated with a subscribing institution. Your right to access lapses when your institutional affiliation ends or when the subscription expires. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Permitted Use

• Search, browse, read, and download individual articles or chapters for personal research, teaching, or study.
• Print a reasonable number of pages for personal use.
• Share a single URL to a specific article or chapter with colleagues who are also authorised users.

4. Prohibited Use

• Systematic or automated downloading, scraping, or bulk extraction of content.
• Sharing, reselling, or redistributing content to non-authorised users.
• Removing or circumventing DRM controls, watermarks, or access restrictions.
• Using the Platform for commercial purposes without written permission.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the source code of the Platform.

5. Intellectual Property

All content accessible through the Platform is protected by copyright held by the respective publishers, authors, or societies. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you. Permitted use under these terms does not constitute a waiver of copyright.

6. Service Availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime excluding scheduled maintenance windows, which are communicated at least 48 hours in advance. We reserve the right to suspend access immediately to investigate suspected policy violations.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Platform shall not exceed the subscription fees paid by your institution in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 30 days in advance.
